Ending of our music video

While editing our final cut we got to the ending of our music video where it cuts from a performance to the narrative of our star sitting down before a final half a second of performance. However we couldn't decide wether a fade would be an effective way of ending the video and if it is where to put it. One argument is that the ending looked cinematic and the fade would take away from that. The ending with edgar wrapping up the performance looked upbeat and lighthearted and could well fit in with the rest of the video. However a fade would work well with the last beat of the song which fades away and the video could link to this like in Godwins points that the audio and video must link.
