Digi-pack

Ideas for Digi-pack photos

  • Shots of empty bottles in gritty locations (drink that clashes with location)
  • Band shots
  • instruments
  • star shots (close ups)

This is Orson's bright idea album cover. It has a simplistic style with the silhouette on a simple back round that bursts with warm colours. The simple style is effective it's bright and it stands out a lot, making it eye catching. The birds may be symbolic of freedom or a free spirit, something which their music may represent and/or endorse.
We could use this simplistic style for the same effect, however we may also tone it down with darker and more humble colours and themes to keep with the band and star persona.

This album cover for the Killers' 'Sawdust' represents some of the ideas we had that conflict with Orson's brighter images. It shows a very rural and darker setting, with the humble colours and themes I mentioned before. I think this represents the Indy image well.
