Progress so far

Progress so far:

So far...
We have just finished uploading our rough cut footage onto Final Cut Express and we've matched our chosen music track to our master shot, and this has made me feel a lot better, because all the shots we've done now flow and look so much better when they're synced with the music track so this made me feel a lot more confident about what our Music Video will be like once it's finished.

Problems & dealing with them
When we were filming we encountered many issues, one of these was filming the master shot because we could never quite get the master shot exactly how we wanted it, as it involved a lot of moving around and seeing as this was the majority of our production in footage, it needs to be the best and most perfected piece of footage that we have. We overcame this by not giving up and continuously filming this three minute clip until we got it just how we felt it should be and that all 4 of us were happy with the result because seeing as we are all reliant on this coursework all the decisions we make need to be discussed and resolved as a group  and I definitely don't think any independent decisions can be made.
Our second biggest problem was staying focused, we found that all of us were easily distracted by questions that were related to whether the lights were in the right position or whether this was the best we could do with regards to getting that particular shot.
Personally, I would have rather filmed all the shots straight away and then watched them through and then we could have decided between our group which ones could be improved or generally made better by repeating them by adding or removing a certain feature or simply just getting our acting correct!
Another problem we found was manipulating our light to give us the effect that we required for each individual shot, of course, this required a lot of moving around, and that is a pain as these lights are huge! But we also found problems with making the 'Venetian blind' effect we needed for one of our opening shots which took some time to make and get into position with where we needed it.
