Our current stage

Right now we are in the process of putting together the rough cut of our music video. On wednesday, we filmed the other half of the piece which is the main performance, which we often refer to as a second master shot, and now we have enough footage to complete the song. Editing is tricky, especially when we all have infividual preferences and ideas as to how the video should be put together, but I think the difference in opinion makes for more stimulating work, as we're all bringing something to the table.
Filming the performance was also a challenge, as we intended to invite many people to perform with us as dancers for our party, however our alotted filming time took that out of the question, as first period of a school day meant people were either going to be attending their lesson, or remain absent from college. In the end, we decided to just get the whole thing done with simple lighting (two floods), a plain white backround with myself and Jack performing. Once we got into gear with the actual performance, it only took once shot to get a satisfying result which I consider a great success. Jack's voluntary guitar playing in the backround was effective as it gave our band's image a more humble image, as opposed to an all out concert with fireworks, flashing lights, a complete band, ect.

Now that we have all of the footage to complete 4 minutes of video, I expect we will spend the rest of our editing time intergrating the music video and performance video into an effective movie. We still have to create a digi-pack and magazine cover, however.
Ahren has recently drafted us with a rough idea for a magazine cover that uses one of my own facebook photos:

I think this is an effective design, as it shows off the kind of indy style we want to represent, as well as possibly showing a side of the band that takes itself a little less seriously. (Excuse the size, I'm still learning computers)
