Task 3: planning

Q3: What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Task: Create a director’s commentary which includes clips from the music video and ancillary tasks, as well as vox-pop presentations of audience feedback.

Help: Consider all the forms of audience feedback you have received as well as all methods and contexts for gathering it. Start by making a list of all of the types of feedback you have received, the context in which you received it, methodology and whether you found it useful/ whether you acted on it:
eg. Rough Cut Feedback/ other group feedback on blog/ qualitative/ we added more filters to the video to add genre authenticity.

Assign areas/scripts to different group members:

James: costume

Jack:

Edgar:

Ahren:

Our plan revolves around cutting the video into different sections and then talking about that section, like cutting the first 30 seconds out as a example of camera work and lighting and its effects on the star.

We will have a basic script that will be divided between the commentators to avoid silences and talking over each other. The script will be written and agreed by all members before being used.
We will link everything we say back to the audience feedback we got. Like if we talked about costume how this effected our audience and wether this was intended or not.

We will record our script and then put that over the top of our video. We will record the audio on one lesson and then edit it with the footage we have in another lesson. We can divide the group in the second lesson the be more efficient as the others can complete another group.

We will cut from the rough cut to the final cut to emphasize how feedback helped us change the video and improve it. We will use this technique throughout the video and voice over the top.
Rough Cut Feedback:

Rough cut feedback
Jack feedback

We used feedback to address certain issues such as transitions and effects and also improved performance scenes as suggested.

Final Cut Feedback:

Group 1:
Group 2:
Group 3:
Group 4:
